It's sort of a broad question, isn't it?

It is. That's sort of the point.

It's... mundane, generally. We have cars, and computers and phones, but no vampires or people with unusual abilities or wizards. Nothing too out of the ordinary.

You know, I've never had to explain the modern world. We've got all the perks, I guess. Internet. Indoor plumbing. Electricity. It's pretty easy, for most people.

My world's like the modern world you've heard of, only we've got the Doctor and aliens there.

Last time I went home, I was going to college in Arlington, Virginia. Earth. Before that I lived in California, New York, and Texas. Which would you want to hear about? Oh! And it was the year 2010.

Is there anything unique about where you're from? In coming here, what's the biggest difference between your world and someone else's?

My world seems slightly different from most of the ones I've heard about here. Early twenty-first century, computers and cell phones and all of that, but we preferred airships to planes until the very end of the last century.

And England's a republic. It appears to be a monarchy in most of the other worlds represented here--correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, in my world, there is a Queen, but she doesn't exactly run the country anymore, and hasn't for a while. Most of the governmental stuff is handled by Parliament and the Prime Minister.
